Gay best friend as maid of honour!!?
My best friend is gay and he is my maid of honour! My bridesmaids are wearing baby pink dresses with white bows around the waist and he is wearing the same colour suit with a white shirt! He looks very cute and matches my girls so well im very excited about it 
however the girls are holding bouquets what should he hold? cos flowers just seem way to girly lol! what do you guys think?
At a wedding I conducted recently the bride had her best friend (and first boyfriend) as one of her attendants. The attendants, both male and female all wore black and the guys had pink ties. So he wore black pants and shirt but insisted on carrying a bouquet to match the girls..
It looked fine and he was obviously comfortable with it.
If your best friend would prefer not to carry flowers (it is important that you go with his wishes on this one) and you are having a ritual of some sort perhaps he can carry something to be used in the ritual when he walks down the aisle instead. or otherwise go with the boutonniere because he is going to have his hands full with holding your bouquet for at least part of the ceremony anyway.
