What did you forget to bring to your LO’s 1st birthday party?
We recently had our daughter’s 1st birthday party at a park. I spent weeks going over everything, every little detail to make sure we were prepared for anything. Extra outfits, extra Diapers, extra shoes, wash cloths to use after the cake, extra wipes to use after eating, towels to wipe down the playground for the other kids, sunscreen, even mosquito spray just in case. Know what I forgot? The birthday candle!!! We got all ready to sing happy birthday and then everyone started asking “where’s the candles?” “where’s the lighter?” – oops! Can I still claim I have baby brain 12 months later?!?!
I don’t think baby brain ever goes away… In fact it just gets worse and worse until your kids move out and have families of their own… But by that time we have to start watching out for alzheimers and dementia!! At least that’s all you forgot!
